A man was shot and critically wounded Saturday night in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 8:35 p.m., the 31-year-old was a passenger in a van traveling in the 8200 block of South Houston when someone on foot nearby fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the head and later showed up at Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
