Two 16-year-old boys have been charged as adults with the shooting death of a 43-year-old northwest Indiana man.

Officers responding to a shooting about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 1300 block of Harrison Street in Gary found Samuel Moore suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Gary police.

Moore was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office. He lived about two miles away in the 700 block of Kentucky Street in Gary. Investigators discovered that Moore’s vehicle was also missing.

Lacindo Luckett and Christian Manning were both charged with murder in perpetration of a robbery and two counts of robbery, according to police. Manning was also charged with one count of auto theft.

Luckett was not in custody as of Thursday afternoon, police said.
