Man shot in Austin

A man was shot early Thursday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 19-year-old was walking at 2:22 a.m. in the first block of South Leamington when another male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
