A drive-by shooting left a man in critical condition early Saturday in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

About 4:45 a.m., the 36-year-old was on a sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Concord when a gunman in a passing silver SUV opened fire, hitting him in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police said the shooting was gang-related.
