A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 19-year-old was in the 3900 block of West Jackson at 12:10 p.m. when a red vehicle pulled up and someone got out and fired at him, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then got back in the vehicle, which drove away.

The man was shot in the buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
