Deputies seized $600 worth of ecstasy Saturday after responding to a complaint of a loud party in northwest suburban McHenry Township.

Sheriff’s deputies were sent to investigate a loud party at 1:52 a.m. in the 6700 block of Route 120 in unincorporated McHenry Township, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s office. Deputies saw a man attempting to conceal a controlled substance and found he was in possession of 28 pills of MDMA, a drug commonly known as Ecstasy, and a residual amount of cocaine. The street value of the ecstasy was estimated at $600.

Brandon A. Rouse, 24, of Harvard was charged with a felony count possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, the sheriff’s office said. His bond was set at $175,000.

Rouse was scheduled to next appear in court Oct. 19.
