A 16-year-old boy showed up at Loretto Hospital Monday evening after being shot in the foot in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
He told investigators the shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of North and Central avenues, according to Chicago Police.
Investigators weren’t able to find a crime scene. He was listed in good condition.
The 6-year-old cries in class, has to go home after magician’s lesson on the hazards of substance abuse.
His wife Joanne also did hair. Their sons swept up. Their daughter did makeup. Many relatives and friends worked there during the 25 years the family operated the business.

The shooting occurred in the 4100 block of South Wells Street. Three police officers and two civilians are in good condition. Two others are in critical condition.
