Shots were fired on Interstate 290 Monday night in west suburban Elmhurst.

It happened about 8:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near North Avenue, according to Illinois State Police. No one was hurt.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call state police at (847) 931-2405. Callers can remain anonymous.
