Man shot to death in Chatham

A man was shot to death early Sunday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers responding about 1 a.m. to a call of shots fired in the 7900 block of South Vernon found 38-year-old Lindsey Anderson lying on the sidewalk, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Anderson was shot in the head and chest and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. His home address was not known Monday afternoon.
