Lane and ramp closures will begin Friday night on the northbound Bishop Ford Freeway just north of Dolton Avenue in Calumet City.

The closure is needed to make repairs to the bridge which carries the Bishop Ford over the Little Calumet River, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

One lane of the northbound Bishop Ford and the ramp from westbound Dolton Avenue to the Bishop Ford will be closed between 11 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday, IDOT said.
