A man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 32-year-old was shot at 4:37 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Peoria after he got into an argument with another person, according to Chicago Police. During the argument, the person pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
