A man was shot and critically wounded by someone who robbed him Tuesday afternoon in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 2:45 p.m., the robber walked up to the 23-year-old in the 8000 block of South Muskegon, demanded his things and then shot him in the back and leg, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
