Three men were wounded, one fatally, in a shooting in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

At 4:15 p.m., three men, ages 18, 20 and 22, were standing on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Homan when someone in a light colored vehicle drove up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

Javoun Burnes, 22, was shot in the chest and taken to mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6 p.m., according to the police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The 18-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition after he was shot in the right leg, police said. The 20-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai where his condition was stabilized.
