Man killed in Austin shooting

A man was slain in the West Side Austin neighborhood on Wednesday night, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responding about 8 p.m. to a call of a person down found the 31-year-old bleeding on the sidewalk in the 5200 block of West Quincy, police said. Previously police stated he was 29.

Roy Love suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was taken to Loretto Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:40 p.m., according to the police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
