A man was shot in the groin late Thursday in the South Side Burnside neighborhood.

The 41-year-old was on the sidewalk in the 800 block of East 88th Street at 10:54 p.m. when two males walked up and shot him in the groin, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
