Man shot in South Shore

A man was shot Friday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

At 4:42 p.m., the 31-year-old was sitting in a vehicle in the 7800 block of South Kingston when he heard shots and realized he was struck in the arm, according to Chicago Police.

The man took himself to South Shore Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

He is a documented gang member, according to a police source.
