A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon about a block from Douglas Park on the Southwest Side.

The 24-year-old was walking about 2:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Fairfield when a dark colored vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, Chicago Police said.

The man was struck in the right leg and lower back and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
