A man was shot in the neck Friday night in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Just before 10 p.m., the 28-year-old was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 11000 block of South Bishop when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Roseland Community Hospital and was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
