A man was seriously wounded in a Gresham neighborhood shooting Tuesday evening on the South Side.

The 26-year-old was getting out of a car about 6 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Carpenter when another car pulled up and someone inside shot him in the arm and abdomen, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
