Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl and her 1-month-old son who have been reported missing from the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.

Makayla Bennett-Poindexter was last seen Tuesday in the 8000 block of South Maplewood, according to Chicago Police. She is believed to be with her 1-month-old son, Caleb Bennett.

Makayla was described as a 5-foot-2, 125-pound black girl with braided black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion, police said. She was last seen wearing a blue winter coat over a purple robe.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
