A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 1:50 p.m. in the 400 block of North St. Louis, according to Chicago Police.

The 38-year-old man was shot in the hip and taken in good condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
