A 16-year-old boy was shot early Thursday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was sitting on a front porch at 12:04 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Massasoit when someone in a white car nearby fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The teenager was shot in the left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
