An 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in a South Chicago neighborhood drive-by attack late Friday.

About 11:20 p.m., he was walking in the 8800 block of South Escanaba when someone in a Blue Ford Focus opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
