A woman was shot Sunday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 44-year-old was standing on a front porch at 11:06 p.m. in the 800 block of West 51st Place when gunfire erupted and she realized she’d been shot in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
