A person was critically wounded Saturday night in a shooting in northwest suburban Carpentersville.

The person, whose age and gender were not released, was shot about 8:10 p.m. at the Fox View apartment complex, 11-13 Oxford Rd., according to Carpentersville police.

One person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The shooting is under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Acevedo at (847) 551-3481 ext. 1716.
