A woman was cut several times after a drive-by shooting shattered glass in a vehicle in the Goose Island neighborhood on the Near North Side.

About 6:00 p.m., a 38-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were stopped in traffic in the 900 block of West Chicago Avenue, according to Chicago Police. Someone in a car pulled alongside, pointed a handgun and started shooting. The vehicle was struck and glass was shattered.

The man and woman drove to the 100 block of West Maple to call 911, police said. The woman suffered from several cuts to her shoulder. She was treated on scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported.
