A man was shot in the back Tuesday afternoon in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

About 2:20 p.m., someone in a red vehicle opened fire on the 21-year-old as he stood outside in the 7900 block of South Justine, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in fair condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police said the shooting was considered gang-related.
