Man, 36, shot in Gresham

A man was shot in the South Side Gresham neighborhood Wednesday night.

About 8:30 p.m., the 36-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 8600 block of South Hermitage when a person approached and demanded property, Chicago Police said. During the altercation, the offender fired shots and the man was struck in the right leg.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.
