Police are warning North Side residents of three recent grocery and drug store armed robberies in the Edgewater, Lake View and North Center neighborhoods.

The suspect entered the stores, approached the cashier with a gun and demanded money from the register, Chicago Police said.

The robberies happened:

• between 4:19 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 6100 block of North Broadway Avenue;

• around 1:28 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 3200 block of North Broadway Avenue; and

• about 1:50 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 3400 block of North Western Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 45 years old, weighing 180 to 230 pounds, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11 with brown hair and brown eyes, police said. He was wearing a tan Carhartt-style jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and cargo-style pants.
