A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday evening in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

About 7:15 p.m., he was walking in the 7000 block of South Eberhart when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck in the abdomen, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
