An 18-year-old man was shot to death late Friday along the border of the Park Manor and Chatham neighborhoods on the South Side.

About 11 p.m., Deon Virges ran intoa store in the first block of East 75th Street with a gunshot wound to the throat, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Virges, of the 7500 block of South Calumet, collapsed and died at the scene at 11:11 p.m., authorities said.

No one was in custody for the shooting Saturday morning.
