A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood on the North Side.

The 27-year-old was inside a vehicle stopped in traffic at 2:03 p.m. in the 5900 block of North Sheridan when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the leg and taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
