A man was shot early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old was standing outside at 1:57 a.m. in the 3100 block of South St. Louis when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
