A man was shot Friday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

At 9:24 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot and found a 44-year-old man shot in the back on the sidewalk in the 0-100 block of South Kilpatrick, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
