Two men were shot Friday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

At 9:17 p.m., the men, both 23, were standing in the 4800 block of West Washington when a person in a vehicle fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

One man was shot in the back and taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. The other man was shot in the left calf and taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized.
