A man was shot in the arm Monday evening in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 22-year-old was outside about 6:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Kildare when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
