A person was critically injured Wednesday morning in a rollover crash in north suburban Grayslake.

About 10:28 a.m., deputies dispatched to the one-vehicle crash on Route 120 just east of Almond Road found a 2000 Chevrolet Corvette with extensive damage, according to a statement from Lake County sheriff’s office.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Chevrolet was traveling west when it entered the median and rolled over, the sheriff’s office said. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and taken to Condell Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
