A man and woman were found dead with gunshot wounds Tuesday morning in Lowell, Indiana.

The Lake County coroner’s office identified has identified them as James and Patricia Carlin, both 61.

They were found about 8 a.m. at their home in the 1600 block of Northview Court in Lowell, authorities said. The woman had multiple gunshot wounds, the man one.

Lowell Police Chief Erik Matson said there was “no public safety concern” and declined to release more details. A ruling on their manner of death is pending further investigation.

The coroner’s office has asked for the public’s help in finding the Carlins’ family. Anyone with information should call (219) 755-3265.
