Shooting wounds 2 on South Side near Jackson Park

A man and woman were shot Sunday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side near Jackson Park.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the head about 7 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Stony Island Avenue, according to Chicago Police. An 18-year-old woman was struck in the back and right leg.

Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where the man was in serious condition, police said. The woman’s condition had stabilized.

Additional information was not immediately available from police.
