A man was found shot to death inside a vehicle on Christmas Day in northwest Indiana.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Arthur Street in Gary about 5:45 p.m. and found a 24-year-old man in a vehicle with gunshot wounds, according to Gary police.

Darius Mitchell, of the 3700 block of Johnson Street, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. His death was ruled a homicide.
