A man who was found stabbed to death in the backseat of a vehicle Sunday night in Gary, Indiana has been identified.

Police called to check out a suspicious vehicle about 9:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Hobart Street found 26-year-old Fernando Verduco dead with multiple stab wounds, according to Gary police and the Lake County coroner’s office.

Verduco, whose home address is unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:02 p.m., and his death was ruled a homicide, the coroner’s office said.
