WATCH: Taj Gibson delivers moving message about gun violence

Bulls forward Taj Gibson grew up in Brooklyn and has seen more than his share of gun violence.

As part of an ESPN special “Rise Up” (5 p.m., Sunday) for Black History Month, Gibson gave a moving and inspirational account of the gun-filled world he was fortunate enough to escape.

In “Cease Fire,” Gibson speaks emotionally about several friends he lost to guns—four in the last few years—and how he’s making an effort to stop the vicious cycle of violence.

Powerful stuff.
