Man shot in chest in Chatham

A man was shot late Sunday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old man was walking in the 8800 block of South Indiana Avenue at 11:35 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the upper left side of his chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
