Two shot in Fernwood

Two people were shot late Sunday in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.

A 29-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were sitting in a vehicle in the 0 – 100 block of West 101st Street about 11:50 p.m. when they both heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the left and right shoulders, while the woman was shot in the left shoulder, police said. He drove them to Roseland Community Hospital, where both of their conditions were stabilized.
