Four people were displaced early Monday when a fire broke out at a church and spread to the house next door in the Fuller Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Firefighters responded about 4:45 a.m. to the blaze at the 2 1/2-story church in the 5100 block of South Princeton Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.

The fire spread to the building next door and four people were subsequently displaced when the building was rendered uninhabitable, fire officials said. The Department of Human Services was called to the scene to assist with housing.

No one was injured in the blaze, said Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Curtis Hudson. The fire was struck out at 5:27 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
