A man shot to death Tuesday evening in the Southwest Side Pilsen neighborhood has been identified as Jonathan Luna.

The 28-year-old Luna was outside in the 1700 block of West Cermak Road at6:48 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him in his chest and side,according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Luna lived in the 3800 block of South Damen.

The man, 38, was sitting outside the building about 10 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of North Springfield Avenue when he was shot in the chest and head, police said.

The officer was the second hurt by shattered glass in less than an hour early Sunday.
“You don’t need the ordinance, you need common sense,” Dr. Demetra Soter said. “This management company knew what to do and didn’t do it.”
Tierra Franklin was fatally shot Friday near the parking lot of a business in the 2500 block of South Kolin Avenue.
