A man was shot Tuesday in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Around 4:55 p.m., the 19-year-old man was in the 5100 block of South Trumbull Avenue when someone approached him from behind and fired shots, hitting once him in the abdomen, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
