A 62-year-old man was shot Tuesday morning in the South Side Douglas neighborhood.

The shooting happened just after 7 a.m. in the 500 block of East 33rd Street, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said
