Teenager shot in Englewood

A 16-year-old boy was shot Tuesday evening in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The teenager was standing outside in the 1100 block of West 70th Street about 6:50 p.m. when someone walked up and fired shots before running away, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
