SHARE 61-year-old man shot in Burnside

A 61-year-old man was shot during a fight in the Burnside neighborhood Friday night on the South Side.

He and another person were sparring in the 9300 block of South Cottage Grove about 8:30 p.m. when the other person pulled a gun and shot him in the leg and groin, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
